To all IAU Member Federations 10th March 2021 (letter sent to all Federations)
Dear General Secretary.
This is a short reminder about the deadlines for nominations for IAU Executive Council Posts and for a specific email address for your federation to vote.
I wrote to you on 19th February and attach that letter. It gave details for our virtual Congress on 22nd May and the election voting procedure. There was also a deadline for nominations for IAU Executive Council positions and a specific email address to enable you to vote in the elections.
The deadline for all nominations for IAU Executive Council Positions is 22nd March 12 GMT
Currently, for the 11 positions, only 3 nominations have been received.
The elections will be online using electronic procedures under the direction of the Polyas company https://www.polyas.co.uk/ . For a federation to be able to vote, they need to register a specific email address to be used for the elections. The federation will than be supplied with a relevant unique password in order to enfranchise their vote. Any federation that does not authorize an email address will be unable to vote. Further details on the voting procedure will be circulated later with the passwords.
One specific email address from each federation by April 22nd 2021 12.00 GMT
Currently only 1 federation has supplied an authorised email address.
