Transition at IAU Council André Mingneau appointed as Co-opted Director

We are happy to announce the appointment of André Mingneau (Belgium) as the new Co-opted Director, following the departure of Diana Amza due to personal reasons. Diana's tenure, which commenced following the 2021 IAU Congress, covered field of competitions, labelling, and participating at MIUAC events as an IAU delegate.  She was responsible for updating the IAU bidding documentation for the IAU Major Championships.

André Mingneau, a well-respected figure in the ultrarunning community for the past 20 years, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his new role. He is poised to continue the momentum and ready to support the IAU with his expertise and passion for ultrarunning as well as brought technical expertise. André will serve as the Co-opted Director until the next scheduled election in October 2025.

I would like to thank Diana for her work in the IAU and her commitment to bring the best of the ultrarunning competitions to the international realm. We, on the IAU, would like to wish her the best in her future endeavors. On the same note, we extend a warm welcome to Andre for committing to joining the IAU and bringing his decades of experience to the Association. I am confident that IAU will continue to move forward and upwards as we embark on the coming years.
